Directions To The Intrepid Pier

FROM QUEENS AND LONG ISLAND
(LaGuardia Airport) - Take Grand Central East (towards Long Island) to the Long Island Expressway going West to NYC/Midtown Tunnel (Westbound). Exit tunnel towards 42nd Street. Make left (Westbound) on 42nd Street across town to 12th Avenue. Turn right on 12th Avenue (northbound) to 48th Street. Make U-turn around barriers going South to 46th Street and 12th Avenue.

FROM KENNEDY AIRPORT
Take Van Wyck Expressway North to Long Island Expressway and follow directions from Queens and Long Island.

FROM CENTRAL NEW JERSEY: (Newark Airport)
Take the NJ Turnpike North to Lincoln Tunnel. Exit to 42nd Street, make left (Westbound) to 12th Avenue. Turn right on 12th Avenue (Northbound) to 48th Street. Make U-turn around barriers going South to 46th Street and 12th Avenue.

FROM NORTHERN NEW JERSEY
Take the George Washington Bridge to Southbound Westside Highway (9A) to 46th Street and 12th Avenue.

FROM SOUTHERN NJ AND PA
Take Turnpike North towards Newark Airport and follow directions above from Central N1.

FROM POINTS NORTH
Take the Saw Mill River Parkway South to Westside Highway (Southbound) 9A - straight to 46th Street and 12th Avenue.

BY CAR
Drive to West 46th street and 12th Avenue. Car parking is available in the vicinity. Reduced rates are available at the UPS-Kinney lot at 11th Avenue and 44th Street.

BY SUBWAY
Take trains to 42nd Street. You can take the 4, 5, 6, and 7 to Grand Central. The B, D, F, Q, to 42nd and 6th Avenue, the N or R to Times Square and the A, C, E to the Port Authority. Then take the M-42 bus. It will stop at Grand Central, Penn Station and The Port Authority. It will go crosstown toward the Intrepid to 42nd Street and Hudson River (12th Avenue). Get off at the last stop and walk 2 blocks North to the Intrepid.

BY BUS
Take the crosstown buses West. The M-16 (at 34th Street) or the M-42 (at 42nd Street) or M-27 (at 49th Street) to 12th Avenue and the Hudson River. The Intrepid is a short walk from these stops.
